Pun-tastic Ideas for Sewing Valentines! …well, for next year
- No Comments
I made pun-tastic sewing Valentine’s cards for my family this year! And even though I’m a little late (I didn’t want to ruin the surprise for my family) I thought I’d share them. If you like to make Valentines with puns, maybe you can use these as inspiration for some sewing-themed Valentines.
With an ultrasuede heart!
Hook and eye! I flattened the hook with pliers before I sewed it on. It went through the mail from Germany to the USA just fine 🙂
With hearts cut out of batting. Perfect for the quilter in your life!
Of course the knots are real!
I came up with a few other puns that I didn’t end up using: “Maybe I’m biased, but you’re cute as a button!” with a heart made of bias tape and a few buttons. Or, “I’m dotty about you!” with hearts made of polka dot fabric. Or, “My eyes zig-zagged to you, Valentine!” with zig-zag stitches, or pinked edges, or maybe even ric-rac…
I also made these hearts few years ago for a Valentines sewing post. Now I hang them up in my sewing room each February to decorate.
Would you use these ideas, or do you have a better idea for a sewing Valentines pun? Have you made your own sewing Valentines in the past? Share them in the comments – we’d love to hear about it!
